The "Mercy" singer (née Aimee Duffy) shared a new Instagram video Monday, four years after she publicly revealed she was the victim of a rape and kidnapping.

The 39-year-old musician posted an inspirational video from the philosphart account, which shares a message about the pursuit of happiness.

"You’re going to realize that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a relationship,” began the video voiceover.

“Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you. It was never about being like the others. One day, you're going to see it.
