Should One Expect a Reward When Doing a Good Deed?

       When I was young, my grandfather told me the story about Lei Feng and I was deeply moved by his deeds. And from then on, I set Lei Feng as an example for me to do good deeds without expects of returns.

　　As we all know, a society is harmonious only when people of all walks of the society live in harmony. Doing good deeds is good for not only others but ourselves as well. For example, helping the blind to cross a road, what can you expect? Picking up a wallet which others has forgotten and giving it to the police, what would you expect?

       Actually, the biggest return you have got is the inner peace in your deep heart. The world is for us and others and admittedly, our behaviors will have an impact on the people around directly or indirectly. As a saying goes, every bean has its black. If we expect a return for the good deed we have done, then what can we expect for if we make mistakes?

　　I do hope that every good deed can earn good return and people’s faces are filled with smile but not apathy. Do as our heart requires for inner peace and the society needs to keep in harmony.

      Life is becoming more digital and the digital is becoming more alive. Have you ever noticed that you were surrounded by all kinds of digital products? Digital camera, digital computer, digital television, and so on. Because of these stuff, great changes have taken place in our morden life.
   
    Firstly, with the development of digital products, TV, film and music go on-line and mobile. Our life are becoming more and more colorful. Secondly, the growth of peer to peer digital media means that people can generate and transact digital content and services over global networks. Nowadays, information is being unleashed and re- shuffled. And everything is becoming increasingly more connected. This is both very exciting and a bit unnerving. At last, the digital age has renewed our interest in friendship which means there is also an opportunity to deepen our sense and appreciation of it.
   
    To sum up, our future is digital. To achieve success in the 21st century, all of us need to attain proficiency in digital products.

     Recent decades have seen the rapid development of information technology, and thereby E-books have wound their way into our daily life. Because of the wide and quick popularity of E-books, there has been an increasing controversy over the question of whether E-books will replace traditional books or not.

      Many people hold the idea that it will not take long for E-books to replace traditional books because E-books have quite a few advantages over traditional ones. First, E-books are more accessible to readers, because the readers just need to log onto the internet and read online. Second, thanks to the advanced technology, the cost of E-books is much lower, so it takes readers far less money to buy E-books. Last but not the least, reading E-books has  developed into part of our daily life, which is particularly appealing to young users, who are the body part of the users of electronic products.

     As far as I’m concerned, it is not likely for E-books to replace traditional books for lots of reasons. For example, long time of reading E-books will do more harm to our eyes, and readers will find themselves more accessible to printed materials because computers and the internet haven’t yet been popularized to every corner of our life.

　　How to improve psychological health?

　　As is known to all, psychological health is as important as, if not more important than, physical health for a student during his/her growth. However, it’s quite worrying that nowadays some students are not quite psychologically healthy.

　　Undoubtedly, schools and universities should take great account in the responsibilities of students’psychological health. Relevant courses and activities should be introduced to students so that they would be more aware of the significance of psychological health and find appropriate ways to maintain and improve it. For example,there should be a psychological counseling hotline or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological aid.

　　Of course no psychological health can be obtained without the efforts from the students themselves. From my perspective, what they can do is trying to stay positive, optimistic and follow the right guidelines from their schools. To be more specific, they can participate in some activities such as voluntary work to cultivate an opening and caring mind. Meanwhile, harmful impacts from the cyber space should definitely be avoided.
