[00:09.27]Almost 270 people are still missing from a boat [00:14.39]that sank off the southern coast of South Korea. [00:18.25]Most of the missing are high school students. [00:22.53]The South Korean ferry Sewol [00:25.60]was carrying about 475 passengers. [00:30.52]It sank Wednesday morning near the island of Jindo. [00:35.20]More than 25 people are confirmed dead. [00:39.81]Rescuers have saved more than 175 people. [00:45.23]But hopes of finding more survivors are decreasing. [00:49.99]Some of the passengers jumped in the water [00:53.79]and were rescued by ships. [00:56.30]Rescue teams and helicopters pulled others from the boat. [01:01.92]Student Kim Tae-yuon survived. [01:06.20]He said, "I held a handrail [01:09.05]and moved toward the right side of the ferry [01:12.30]to ride a helicopter as water kept coming in." [01:16.16]Another survivor, Cha Eun-ok, [01:20.78]described the situation on the boat, [01:23.28]"I was keeping still without making any movement. [01:28.06]There was an announcement that we should not move." [01:31.62]Oh Byung-Hwan is the father of a missing student. [01:37.72]Like many parents, [01:39.83]he expressed anger about the search effort. [01:43.14]He said there was no rescue effort on Wednesday. [01:50.67]He said emergency workers could not get into the ferry. [01:55.40]He said they just dove around the area. [01:59.31]Cho Kyung-mi is related to a missing student.
