阿姆斯特丹最有意思的东西是什么？遇到什么奇怪的事情

来听今天的讲解:

A:You look relaxed! How was your holiday?

你看上去很悠闲，假期过得怎么样？

B:It was wonderful, we went to Amsterdam. Have you ever been there?

好极了，我们去了阿姆斯特丹。你去过吗？

A:Yes, a couple of years ago, I had an amazing time. It's such an interesting city, don't you think?

几年前去过，我在那里玩得很开心。那个城市很有意思，是吧？

B: Absolutely. There are so many things to do. We explored everywhere, the canals, The galleries and museums, the coffee houses….. the list goes on and on.

没错，可以做很多事。我们什么地方都去，有运河、美术馆、博物馆，还有咖啡屋等等一长串地方。

A:When I was there I stayed in a houseboat on one of the canals. Now that was something special, although I couldn't sleep for the first couple of nights.  Ir felt strange being so close to the water.

我在那里时，就住在运河上的一条船屋里。尽管前几个晚上都睡不着觉，但还是觉得很新奇。在离水这么近的地方感觉就是不一样。

B: Lucky you! We just stayed in a hotel, the Hotel Falcon Plaza. it was pretty nice, though.

你太幸运了！我们只是住在一家旅店里，就是猎鹰广场大酒店，不过那个酒店也很不错.

A: What do you think is the most interesting thing in Amsterdam? I mean, I know there are so many to choose from, but try and pick one.

你认为阿姆斯特丹最有意思的东西是什么？我知道，有太多东西可供选择，但你尽量只选择一种。

B: Maybe the Rijksmuscum. It's huge!There are around 250 rooms filled with some wonderful paintings. I really enjoyed that.

应该是荷兰国立博物馆吧、它特别大，大约有250拿房间，里面都摆满了绘画精品。我真的很喜欢。

A: I think my fivourite thing was wandering up and down the Damrak, the main street. You can see so many different types of people there, shopping, sitting around lazily or rushing off somewhere.

我想我最喜欢的就是在水坝大道上来回漫步。在那里可以看到很多不同的人，有购物的，有懒洋洋坐着无所事事的，还有匆忙赶着离开去别处的。

B: Yes, the Damrak is an interesting place, I spent quite a lot of time there.  I also visited the Anne Frank museum, which was chilling because there were so many photos of  Naz soldiers killing Jews.

是的，水坝大道是个有趣的地方，我在那里也呆了很长时间。我还参观过安妮•弗兰克博物馆，那里有点可怕，因为有很多纳粹士兵残杀犹太人的照片。

A: The strangest thing about Amsterdam is the legal drugs. I can't believe that marijuana can be legal anywhere, but it seems that everyone smokes it there.

阿姆斯特丹最奇怪的事情是吸毒合法。我不敢相信吸食大麻在那里会是合法的，但那里的人好像个个都在吸。

B: The coffee shops sell manjuana cigarttks with coffee, when they asked me if I wanted my coffee "with or without"' , I thought they meant sugar,  not drugs !

咖啡屋卖咖啡，还卖大麻香烟。我要咖啡时他们就问我“加不加”，我原以为他们指的是加糖而不是加毒品。

A: The only unfortunate thing about Amsterdam is that it's full of graffiti, I saw lots.  Not good grafliti, mindless writing.

阿姆斯特丹唯一令人遗憾的是那里到处都是街头涂鸦，我看到过不少。涂写的都是一些乱七八糟的东西。

B: Graffiti can be art if it's done well, but I know what you mean. I saw some too, even on old beautiful buildings. It was a shame, really.

街头涂鸦弄得好可以成为艺术，但我知道你指的是什么样的。我也看到一些，甚至一些古老的漂亮建筑上都有，真是令人遗憾。

A: I plan to gro again as soon as I can. I think it's perhaps the best city in the world.

我计划尽快再去那里一次。，我认为阿姆斯特丹可能是世界上最好的城市。
