A: So, Rebecca, we're talking about shopping. Is there anything you don't like about shopping?
 
丽贝卡，我们来聊聊购物。你有没有不喜欢购物的时候？
 
B: Yes, I don't like shopping when they're crowds of people. Usually when the sales are on, it can be a good time to shop because there's sales but it also draws a lot people and everybody's pushing and trying to get the clothes they want that are on special. Yeah, I don't like that.
 
有，我不喜欢在人特别多的时候购物。通常在大减价期间很适合去购物，因为商场有折扣，但是这样同样也会吸引很多人，所有人都想在特价期间买到他们喜欢的裙子。我不喜欢这种时候。
 
A: Right. Right. Actually, the thing I really don't like about shopping is having — or clothes shopping — is having to try on clothes. You know, like, you go and you find your size and then you put it on and then it doesn't fit, then you have to try it on again and it's just, it takes forever. And you look at the numbers and it's so hard to find the number that fits you.
 
对，没错。我在购物时，或者说买衣服时，非常不喜欢试穿衣服。你要去找自己的尺码，然后试穿，如果尺码不合适，还要继续试穿，这样太浪费时间了。只看数字的话，很难找到适合的尺码。
 
B: Yeah, it seems every year the numbers are changing sizes. You wear a size ten and then the next year it's not that size so. Yeah. That can be a real problem, too.
 
对，好像尺码每年都会有变化。也许你现在穿 10号，可是明年也许就不是这个尺码了。这也是个问题。
 
A: It drives me nuts. Now in Australia, when you go shopping in the store, do you normally get a lot of personal customer service?
 
这已经要把我逼疯了。你在澳大利亚的商店购物时，你会得到很多个人客户建议吗？
 
B: Yes. Yes. They tend to come up to you as soon as you come into the store, and if you say you're browsing then they leave you alone but it can be really good, the shops I shop at. They do help you with the fitting sizes and when you're in the change rooms, you can just say, "No, I need a new size" and they will go and get it for you, yeah, it's really good service.
 
对，会的。你一进入商店，售货员就会走过来，如果你说你只是随便看看，他们就会走开，不过我觉得这样在购物时很方便。他们会帮助你找到合适的尺码，你在更衣室试穿时，如果号码不合适，你可以让他们给你换个尺码，他们会拿来给你，这是很好的服务。
 
A: Yeah, in the States I think the service is really good as well, but what's really annoying is that now they always want to have you join some club or some membership.
 
对，我想美国的这种服务也很好，不过他们会一直让你办会员，这点比较烦。
 
B: The points cards.
 
积分卡。
 
A: Yeah, so you just want to buy your shirt and they ask you, "Would you like a credit card?" or "Would you like a discount card or membership?" I can't stand it.
 
对，你可能只想买衬衫，但是他们会问你想不想办信用卡，或是想不想办优惠卡和会员卡，我真受不了这种。
 
B: Yeah, I know. I think I have so many cards in my wallet, and they're like, "Oh, are you a member?" and I pull out all my cards and I'm not a member so they join me up.
 
我懂。我钱包里有许多卡，他们会问：“你是会员吗”，然后我会拿出我所有的卡查看，如果我不是会员，他们就会让我加入。
 
A: Right. Right. Usually these days I just say no, but it's just so annoying.
 
对，没错。最近我一般会拒绝，这种行为太烦人了。
 
B: Yeah, it can be. Yes.
