A: Hi, Amy.

A: How are you?

B: I'm all right. Thanks. How are you?
 
我很好。谢谢。你呢？
 
A: Yeah, pretty good. I was thinking the other day about routine. I mean, do you follow like a strict routine?
 
我也很好。我前几天在思考生活日常。你有遵循严格的日程吗？
 
B: Not really. I'm pretty laid-back, I think.
 
没有。我认为我很悠闲。
 
A: I see.
 
我知道了。
 
B: Work days, you have to follow a routine, I guess because you have to get ready, you have to get out the door. But on days off, I just do what I feel like pretty much. Pretty relaxed.
 
当然工作日要遵循日程安排，因为你要做好准备，出门上班。不过在休息日的时候，我会做喜欢做的事情。享受放松的生活。
 
A: Well, that I think is important isn't it, to relax on your days off. But like on a work day, so what do you do first in the morning?
 
嗯，我认为在休息日放松很重要，不是吗？那在工作日，你一般早上最先做什么事？
 
B: I think probably what everybody does first. I have to go to the bathroom.
 
我想这应该对所有人来说都是最先做的事。我会先上卫生间。
 
A: Okay. I mean, what do you do after that? Do you make yourself a hot drink?
 
好。那之后做什么？你会给自己冲杯热饮吗？
 
B: I wash my face and brush teeth, pretty much, and then cajole my daughter into getting on with her morning routine as well, making sure she's ready.
 
我会先刷牙洗脸，然后哄女儿，让她开始她的早上准备工作，以确保她做好准备。
 
A: I see. So you've got to get two people ready.

B: Yes, I do. How about you?

A: I just need to worry about myself really. I think that's enough, you know.

B: Is that a big task?

A: Yeah. Well, I always have a cup of tea in the morning. First thing, I always put the kettle on and make a hot drink. And I usually try to eat like a good breakfast, not just a piece of toast or something but maybe some eggs, scrambled eggs and maybe some bacon and some toast. Yeah, I try to leave the house with a full stomach.

B: Yeah, that's good. I try to do that as well. Sometimes, we're pretty rushed and breakfast is sometimes eaten in the car. But we do get full stomachs eventually.

A: Right, right.

B: Do you ever have fruit with your breakfast?

A: I don't. I know some people eat like a grapefruit. Actually, occasionally, I have a banana.

B: Hmm.

A: Yeah, because I just find it's really easy, and convenient, and quick.

B: I agree.

A: But stuff like, you know, grapefruits and oranges, you have to peel them. Yeah, I just don't have the time really in the morning.

B: Too much like hard work?
 
太费事了？
 
A: Yeah. But if I stay in like if I'm on a holiday in a hotel and they have like a nice breakfast, I always try to eat fruit. So I always try to eat a bit of everything actually.
 
对。不过如果我去度假，酒店提供可口的早餐的话，那我会吃水果。我尽量各种食物都吃一些。
 
B: When it's there in front of you, ready.

A: When it's made for you, yeah.

B: I do that, too, definitely.

A: Yeah.
