Recently，our school has conducted a survey among students about “How parents treat their children”．As is shown in Chart One，three kinds of behavior from parents are considered the most welcome．33.5% of the students are content with their parents' trust，which ranks the highest，while 31.7% of them favor the equality between their parents and them when they have a talk．Moreover，parents' constant praise accounts for 22.7%．

In the meantime，parents' behavior far from children's satisfaction has also been recovered，one of which is the fact that parents always expect too much of them，sharing a proportion of 32%．As far as I'm concerned，it is understandable that every parent wishes his children a bright future but he should not go to extremes．First and foremost，parents' expectations are not always in accordance with their children's personal ideas so that conflicts frequently turn up，thus imposing a negative effect on family harmony．In the second place，drawing a unrealistic goals that prevent the children from tapping their potential，but instead，they have to stand on tiptoe to reach the high pole，blindly and desperately．

So it is high time that parents changed their mind to set practical expectations．Have a talk with the children to take a closer look at what their children really manage to accomplish and then formulate a blueprint together with them．Parents should discover and develop their children's inborn specific talents as well．A free，independent space for development is of the same importance．

Parents，please don't hold your breath！Let a thing slide and you may find your children make surprising achievements．
