189　no longer, not...any longer, not...any more和no more

1　no longer 意为“不再”，为副词短语，放在be动词、情态动词和助动词后，但放在行为动词前。no=not any，所以no longer 可以转换为not...any longer。注意： no longer 用于肯定句，not...any longer 用于否定句，any longer 要放在句尾。

I can no longer wait. 我不能再等了。

I can not wait any longer .

He is no longer a child. 他已不再是一个孩子了。

He is not a child any longer .

She no longer lived in the room. 她不再住在那个房间里了。

2　not...any more 在很多情况下可同not...any longer 换用。

He does not go there any longer . 他不再去那里了 。

3　no more 意同not...any more ，表示次数、程度上“不再”。

I am afraid I shall see her no more . 恐怕我再也见不到她了。

He cried no more . 他不再哭了。
