iii. 动名词作介词宾语

1. 作单个介词或复合介词的宾语，常见的有：on, with, by, instead of, in case of, after, besides等。

They broke into loud cheers on hearing the news.

2. 在“动词+介词”后，常见的有：insist on, keep on, see to, take to, equal to, give up, persist in, aim at, believe in, care for, depend on, set about, succeed in, worry about, apologize for, advise on, feel like, get through, think of, dream of, lead to, object to等。
