India is under a three-week lockdown as the country struggles to stop the spread of the corona virus pandemic. The prime minister Narendra Modi said an absolute curfew was needed to stop the country being setback by decades. He also announced almost two billion dollars of investment in health infrastructure.

As Thursday’s lockdown approaches in South Africa, many towns have seen many people panic buying essentials. The country has Africa’s highest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19. with more than 500 infections.
